Barometer

Hobby board barometer It reads pressure from 28-32 inHg (948-1083 mb). It's resolution is 0.01 inHg (0.34 mb).

Temp/Humidity

Instruments in the small Stevenson screen is a set of Sheathed ordinary Hygrometer . Met Office pattern (BS692). ) a standard minimum maximum temperature sensor, there is a small fan at the bottom this helps with air circulation

My first weather station was an Oregon scientific wireless model WMR928NX the manufacturers have stopped production on this model and now offering a WMR200 - Next Generation Weather Station as a replacement, I decided to go for a Proffessional 1 wire weather station system.

The following sensors are online ( Power injector,solar radiation sensor, barometer, out door temperature/humidity, wet bulb and dry bulb,Leaf wet sensor, soil moisture module using a specially designed in house sensor), concrete temperature sensor, soil temperature sensor@2 inches, rain gauge, snow sensor using a laser Sensor, Cloud sensor is a special designed infrared cloud temperature sensor, Dual Counter mod rain switch connected to a Rain Tracker Rain Gage - Model RG-10, the wind instruments were supplied by Inspeed and connected to a hobby board Anemometer Controller Board, rain duration sensor

There are several traditional instruments which we use for calibration purposes, we have lightning radar system which detects storms over Europe, we are also monitoring earthquakes around the world using a VS-1 SEISMOMETER, to keep our weather station time clock accurate we use a GPS system which synchronises the weather computer.

consists of a solid stem thermometer fitted into a transparent glass sheath. Each depth is established by inserting a steel tube into the ground, and lowering the thermometer by the chain down into the tube. The thermometer bulb is embedded in paraffin wax to give a slow response time enabling it to be withdrawn to take readings

Infrared cloud temperature sensor with UV sensor and solar sensor module made in-house

Rain gauge set to tip at 0.2mm this rain gauge is connected to a 1 wire counter,inside the rain gauge there is a heater and a thermostat which is designed to melt snow,

Rain duration sensor set to detect moisture from 0.001mm this device is connected to a hobby board counter module, as soon as any droplets of rain hit the lens weather display indicates very light mist, this device also is used as a rain duration sensor

Hobby boards 1 wire Lightning senor only records lightning counts

Soil moisture sensor consists of a new hobby board moisture module which is connected to 3 specially made sensing blocks

The cloud sensor consists of a one wire temperature sensor which is surrounded by insulation on the top of the temperature chip is a black metal disc,this is position so it is pointing at the sky weather display software works out the sky condition based on the temperature differential from the Air temperature,and cloud sensor temperature

Solar radiation screen has been replaced and updated with the more advanced system

In this solar radiation screen there is a temperature and humidity module the temperature sensing chip and humidity sensing aliment have been Extended from the circuit board to form two probes the humidity probe also has a protective nylon mesh cap this improved the response of the Humidity sensor there is a fan mounted at the bottom which is drawing air through the top and down over the sensors

Replacement radiation shield consists of a double wall insulated, fan system to draw the air over the sensors .This is made the sensors more accurate and a faster response
